Independent whiskymakers, Compass Box, secures 拢35m lending facility from Santander UK enabling the business to plan new warehousing facilities, invest in further inventory, and launch its new core collection.听

Independent blended Scotch whisky brand, Compass Box, has secured a 拢35m lending facility from Santander UK. The asset backed lending package will provide the whisky business with the finance to continue its upward growth trajectory. With the launch of their new core collection, the facility will allow them to invest in the quality of current and future stock whilst also investing in warehousing to support the future growth of the business.

Santander鈥檚 support will enable Compass Box to continue its focus on the procurement of quality casks and whisky, the funding will aid Compass Box to expand overseas, bringing its new range of products into current and new markets.

Whilst Compass Box is currently established in the UK, US, China, Japan, France and Germany, it is also looking to expand into wider European, 听Asian and travel retail markets as it grows. Out with traditional banking, Compass Box will look to utilise Santander鈥檚 international network to make overseas contacts and expand key areas of the business overseas.

Compass Box was founded in 2000 with a mission to bring innovation to the category and attract new consumers to the sector. 听In 2022, Caelum Capital acquired a significant majority shareholding in the business and invested additional equity to fund the growth plans of the business. 听With the new investment, the Compass Box team has grown significantly and with lending from Santander UK, the drinks brand has its sights set for further growth.
