Cars of Grimsby, a vehicle body shop repair specialist, has secured 拢185,000 funding from Santander Business Banking to fund its expansion to new premises.
Managing Director Jason Barker originally started in business from the boot of his car and founded Cars of Grimsby six years ago when he decided to formalise the business and take it to the next level. Cars of Grimsby has previously managed its operations from two rented sites but with the funding from Santander Business Banking it has now moved into a single, larger, premise. The new site is 2,150 square feet larger than its old premises.
The 拢185,000 funding provided has also helped the business to install market leading equipment including three spray paint booths, a new paint matching technology system and solar panels, in order to operate a more efficient and environmentally friendly operation.
In line with the businesses growth ambitions, Cars of Grimsby will also hire two new members of staff in 2018 to help streamline operations. As part of Santander鈥檚 support, the business was introduced to E-Factor, a business and enterprise support group who provided a 拢30,000 grant.
